A Brief Respite
Sometimes you need a short break

Too Much Content
Sometimes all of the things align and there is so much content available to view/consume that it’s a bit overwhelming. Right now, I am in that time. F1 is on hiatus until Miami on May 3rd, but otherwise, it’s full steam ahead for all my other content.
Work has also been really quite busy so I am unable to multitask and work on my YouTube queue like I sometimes do when it’s a bit slow. So that’s also ballooned. With all the content that I watch with my wife mostly taking priority, I also have a bunch to watch by myself that she’s not into. Plus the normal life admin stuff, I just haven’t had time or energy to pick up the next game yet.
I’m thinking of maybe returning to RE4, or maybe I’ll give Assassin’s Creed Shadows a proper go, I think I only played a few hours when that launched and was mildly disappointed. Maybe I’ll do a different Samurai/Ninja game and finally finish Ghost of Tsushima. I don’t really know because nothing sounds interesting to me right now and the next game on my radar is the racing game Forza Horizon 6, which takes place in Japan as well. Therefore I’m not sure I want to grab another Japan-based game, even if they are completely different eras and genres.
All this post probably could’ve been nothing, but I thought it better to write something because the entire purpose of this substack right now is to talk about my journey in completing games, and not playing games for a period of time is a part of that journey.
Comment a game you think I’d enjoy based on my past articles, or even just a game you think is good and completable and maybe I’ll pick something new up and give it a go, or maybe it’ll give me the push I need to grab a game I’ve started but never finished.

I know the feeling. My social media presence has also waned, but part of that may be obsession with my new cat. The rest of it is ideas on dismantling capitalism.
Since you like horror, how about the Fatal Frame series? Or for something faster, The World Ends With You?
